BENSALEM, Pa., May 2, 2017 – Pelseal Technologies, LLC (www.Pelseal.com), a manufacturer of hundreds of high-performance liquid fluoroelastomer coatings, adhesives, sealants and caulks, offers a unique Viton™-based formulation in an aerosol spray can.

PLV 2040 is a black, one-part coating available in a 12-ounce aerosol spray, offering the convenience found only in an aerosol spray. The advantages of an aerosol over typical liquid coatings include the ease and speed of application, a smoother finish with no brush streaks and no post-application brush clean-up. The aerosol does not require the mixing and measuring of a second component. After a few shakes of the can, the aerosol is ready to use.

PLV 2040 enables the quick application of a thin, chemically resistant, rubbery coating of Viton fluoroelastomer. Multiple passes will provide a layered coating with the outstanding properties Viton has provided for the past 60 years: resistance to corrosive liquids (e.g., sulfuric, nitric and hydrochloric acid), oil and fuel, hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents; and a broad temperature range (-40F degrees to +400F degrees).

The product can be employed in a wide variety of industrial applications including:

• Protective coating for equipment subjected to corrosive fluids and vapors
• Protective coating for metal substrates subjected to high temperature airflow and chemical vapors
• Protective, flexible adhesive for bonding Viton components (O-rings, gaskets, bumpers, seals, etc.) to metal and other substrates
• Adhesive for splicing Viton O-rings
• Coatings used in jet engine maintenance and other aerospace applications
• Acid-resistant coatings for industrial flooring
• Touch-up paint for Viton parts with blemishes, nicks or gouges
• Over-coating for polymers with poorer chemical capability (nitrile, neoprene, butyl, natural, SBR, polyurethane) to improve their chemical performance
